Thursday, Apr 8, 2021

Former leading AFL football administrator Geoff Walsh has joined the Board of the AFL Coaches Association, adding a wealth of AFL industry and football department experience.

Following over 35 years of service to AFL administration, Walsh stepped away in December 2020, leaving as one of the AFL’s most experienced and accomplished sports administrators.

AFLCA Chairman Greg Nichols welcomed the addition of Walsh to the Board.

“I am thrilled that the AFL Coaches Association has added to the Board with someone of Geoff’s calibre. Geoff has been an influential AFL administrator for over 35 years, is highly respected and brings with him vast knowledge and experiences, which the Board and Members will benefit significantly from” said Nichols.

In addition to Walsh’s appointment, incoming AFL Coaches Association CEO, Alistair Nicholson will replace outgoing CEO Mark Brayshaw on the Board.

They join Greg Nichols (Chair), Graham Phillips and Ben Crowe.
